Altimeter Mk XIII C

Hi, I find this altimeter in a Bric-a-brac, a Mark XIII c N°14785/39.

What aircraft can come from?

78 years after, it still works !

I think so, but it’s not very sharp. He’s old and I’m afraid he’s going to break down.

Why? Do you have a Stirling Short at home and its altimeter no longer works? You need this one?

Well it was used on at least one of the Stirling marks – the photo is from an early Mk1, but I’m guessing that it was around on other Bombers – it wasn’t always used on the Stirling either.

Cheers

No, it’s a navigators altimeter, for bomber aircraft
