P-51D Ammunition Bay Handhold

I have been cleaning this part up and I believe it to be the upper wing ammunition bay hand hold – swing flap cover.

The rear has the requisite ANA North American inspectors stamp and the front has a 106 – part number – indented 5 times.

It also has the correct chromate primer to the rear. The oval is 30mm high and 100mm long.

So without access to the part numbers list – I have had to check multiple images – but I believe it is the upper wing 50 cal ammunition bay handhold cover.
