I don’t know, seems the key may have been copied? if he had put a replica in its place the theft would probably have sadly gone unnoticed.
I know of similar, radios stolen out of aircraft, serials circulated, nothing found, year later other aircraft on field in for annual and it has them fitted, the lowlife had taken them out and put them in the other aircraft while stealing the radios from that, while everyone was looking for the wrong ones, the stolen items were probably squirrelled out of the country unnoticed.
I am just glad they have their clock back where it rightfully belongs.
