I’m heading down to Coventry all being well for the Shackleton taxy run, I was also hoping too have a look round the Nimrod, I saw on their website last week they had to cancel the planned engine run at the weekend, and I’ve been trying to get on the site today and it’s disappeared!
Has anyone any idea what’s happened? I do hope all their efforts haven’t gone down the drain, it would be nice to see her taxy, which they did have planned.

You will, I’ll be manning the Engineers panel on the runs – so prior to that I’ll be fussing around the aircraft somewhere.

Ah right, that’s ok then, hopefully I’ll see you at the taxy run!

I was lucky enough to take a right seat during a fast taxi run of the Nimrod based at Bruntingthorpe :-p

Hi,
I’m not sure what’s happened to the website, it could be a glitch that needs reporting to the Nimrod team webmaster type chap. The planned engine run was cancelled purely due to a paperwork/admin issue – there’s no other issues be it serviceability or otherwise. They will be running soon.
The Nimrod team will be on site on our taxy day, would love to have visitors, and have promised us they’ll have the galley open on board XV232 for any that turn up. :eagerness:
Regards,
Rich
