Hi guys I am involved in the Blackbushe 75 anniversary airshow on July 1-2 and am looking for some cockpits to attend. It is going to be a event that is inclusive of anything, and everybody that flies, or used to! I would love to have around 10 cockpits on display, particularly those like Hunter, Canberra, Chipmunk, Vampire etc that fit in with the sites history from the late 40’s and 50’s. Please get in touch if you have a cockpit, or know somebody who does so we can make this a brilliant event.

just a quick note to say the event website is up and running http://www.blackbushe75.com/index.php >Have sourced a running Merlin and Bristol Hercules, and plenty of airworthy aircraft. Still room for cockpits though!

Yes.
Try Merlin Pete. He’s usually quite busy and booked up but, if you’re lucky, he may be free. He has several contacts with Merlins.
Sorry I can’t help with a cockpit. Nothing really ready at the moment – unless you’re prepared to pay to have the Phantom nose shipped down from Newark? Only fly in that ointment is that it is booked to be elsewhere on your planned weekend.

Just giving this a little bump. We have penciled in a good selection of historic aircraft and should be able to reveal some publicly soon. Still looking for cockpits, have possible Lightning and Hunter. Also looking for running Merlin and Bristol Hercules engines as those on the web seem to not have active websites.

We look to have overcome the final obstacle and the Blackbushe 75th anniversary airshow is set to go ahead on July 1-2. There will be a afternoon flying display and lots of static aircraft. stalls etc with profits going to charity. Very much looking for any cockpits, maybe some remuneration for costs available.

Thanks we have high hopes for this event which is run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts with profits going to two charities. Hopefully more can be revealed next week. Have a hunter cockpit as probable so far but more needed so please get in touch if you can help..
