Weeks Spitfire TE476 – Taxi Tests

Kermit has posted a video of an engine run and taxi test after the installation of a new upper fuel tank.

Hopefully not too long before it’s back in the skies again!

I’d always been led to believe that this one had been restored to as close to original spec as possible.

I’ve been interested in the amount of work done on this aircraft over the years, to non-original configuration, back to original, back again to non-original, or is it original? Always looks the part anyway. Clipped, cropped. Or is it?

Sounded like they are getting there with her! Hopefully next year she will be back in the skies!
