I have worked on 7 and am sure it is one shade of grey

No they didn’t. The undersides were the same as the rest: BS381C-637 Medium Sea Grey, which is what the Lynx currently are.

I’ll admit this was second hand, but that’s what i was told by the Airfix decal artist was on the paint shop instructions for the AsAC7 when they did their kit.

Thanx Lee, already have a copy of your Lynx one on the way. I was at FAAM today, had hoped to find it in the shop! Did not see a Lynx either.

Cheers Dave and yes SNAFU I should have been specific. I need to paint parts of my cab ZD264. The colour is a light grey so basically the colour HAS3 were when they went out of service which is likely the same shade HMA8 are still now.

There were a few different greys used after the Falklands, and not too sure how settled the colour situation has been this century.

It’s BS381C 637 Medium Sea grey (Sea Kings had an underside of 626 camouflage grey)
