However this is not permitted on flights to the US. All bookings must have the full name as shown in the passport.

Yes, I assume you are right OneLeft, seeing as the airline I represent is a US based carrier, but still just a warning to those out there…its so easy to catch a wrong button on your keyboard (as demonstrated in your example above), so just take a minute or two longer to make sure you got it right in the first place to avoid any hassle and embarrassment at the airport!

Again, yes, I imagine so, however some airlines simply do not permit name changes at all and thus expect pax to pay for a brand new ticket, which can be a very costly mistake!;)
