Bomb Lanyard

Hey guys.

I have just found a large lanyard with a section ref of 11A/4486621 on the box, 11A/3792 on the unit from 1975 among my stuff and I am very intrigued as to what its function was.

With it being 11A, Aircraft Bomb Gear, I can only assume this is for arming or deploying stabilising fins? If this is accurate would it likely be used on nuclear weapons?
