After the sad demise of one of the aircraft is there any news on the fate of the other aircraft, is it still for sale?

Any news update would be welcomed, qantas founders museum were still awaiting the engineering report when I last emailed them. Saw there was a news report on it in flypast this month. Thanks for keeping this thread live.

The Australian group is the Qantas History outfit which rescued the 707 (720?) from Southend.. They are also rescuing a Super Connie from Indonesia(?). That one’s going back to Oz by land and sea.

Any news regarding the Australian group, was a deal successful? Any further news welcomed still looks the best C-54 for sale anywhere. Still don’t want to see this one go to the pot.

That’s very good news lets hope it comes off and we get to see it a bit in the air before it makes the trip to Oz?

It was inspected last week by a party looking into the practicalities of a return to airworthiness.
