Something special and rare for you – hence the watermark (sorry)
We were donated a set of original photos today, and they show Tarrant Motors in 1915.
The Tarrant engines were licence built Renaults – the company built three and Kelly and Lewis built another three (including ours on display). A young Harry Hawker (founder of Hawker Aircraft) was employed by the firm before he left for England.
A sole surviving Tarrant exists in the Farman Shorthorn at Pt Cook.
We are thrilled and grateful for such a donation.
