Planes worked on by my late father

Good morning all. I was hoping someone may be able to shed some light on something. My father made a list of planes he worked on over his career and one stood out as odd. When he worked for Channel he’s put he worked on a Macchi 205! Did Channel own one? I’d say that’s a long shot but I just don’t know.
