I have seen that there is an article on Spencer Flack`s Warbirds in this months mags, i was a regular at Elstreee at the time as my Father was a member of the Aero Club, i was even lucky enough to have a flight in the two seat Fury. I was greatly impressed by the sight of all the CASA Jungmanns lined up following their arrival from Spain, and remember the stories in the bar being told of the adventure to fly them back to the UK. I believe at least three crashed and one of the ATC controllers Pete Woods ended up with broken legs if my aging memory remembers correctly. Does anyone on the forum have any pictures of the Jungmanns and i would also be interested to know of their fates / current registrations and locations. The club barman at the time Dave Morford took a large trailer over the channel and recovered enough remains to build a flyer which was then painted a striking dark blue and white………………..Martin

Apologies if I duplicated any pics…. the pic uploader only worked on basic uploader.
I flew G-BECT a few times & flew in G-BECX with a Guy called Neil Williams ( I recall him being a fairly good aerobatic pilot ) G-BEDA was Doug & Tony Bianchi’s Jungmann.

I think these are all/most of SRF’s Jungmann fleet:
G-BECT/E.3B-338
G-BECU/E.3B-384
G-BECV/E.3B-390
G-BECW/E.3B-423
G-BECX/E.3B-419
G-BECY/E.3B-459
G-BEDA/E.3B-504
Add G-BEDC & G-BSRF to the List & you have the complete 9 that came up from Spain under the Flack Wing.
G-BECW / G-BECY / G-BSRF were the ones that had incidents enroute, G-BECW & G-BECY were used to rebuild G-BECW into what became G-BECW.

If you look on G-INFO, at least 3 of them are still registered with current C of As.
