'The Blue Max' Tiger Moths and Stampes

I already have a lot of information about the various replica aircraft that were used in the film ‘The Blue Max’. However I am looking for information on the unmodified Tiger Moths and Stampes that were used in the film. One source says four Stampes were used (F-BBIT,F-BNMC,G-ATIR and F- BAUR)plus one Tiger Moth (G-ANDM). I have seen a screen grab from the film though which shows three Tiger Moths flying together suggesting that at least three were used in the film. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can get info on the unmodified Stampes and Tiger Moths used in the film? Thanks. Colin

Might be worth asking Matthew Boddington – I think his dad flew in some of the sequences. If so, he might have info on them.

Colin

I hope your book will also include details on the modified Tiger Moths used in the film Lawrence of Arabia…as seen in the Putnam DH book.

They were painted variously as RFC or German aircraft – including the Stampes!
