If I remember correctly the Browning has a selectable rate of fire.

If I recall correctly, one of the guns jammed during the firing sequence, hence the slower-than-expected rate.
Ah, that explains it as I seem to remember having seen another clip (not sure if it was Ball or Upper turret), with a far higher rate!

:eek:Now multiply that by several hundred other gunners positions.I wonder if you could hear it from the ground.
