Looking for a blank mod plate

I’m trying to find a standard blank mod plate for the Whitley front turret. Does anyone know of a supply?

Thanks

Hoping this is alright to ask here but I thought it might be appropriate considering the thread

I have been trying to find out if the numbers on a mod plate can be deciphered to what mods have actually been done ?, specifically on a mod plate of a Frazer Nash Turret.

Is there reference list available or someone here who can shed some light on what the numbers mean?

Cheers

Well if you can sort out the anodizing and the plates I can send you the artwork for it if you give me a few in return. 🙂

Yes oneeighthbit – mine has the remnants of a black anodised finish. I know a firm who should be able to anodise a black plate.

You mean like this?

I copied the design/dimensions from an original plate. It should be anodized onto aluminium but most places will only do a minimum order of 100. In the end I just got the plates laser cut, made the front as a big decal and fixed it with decal fix and satin varnish before I punched it. To be honest, unless your within 2 feet it’s hard to see the difference from an original.

Hi Elliott

We had some made up, so I’m sure we can spare you one 🙂

cant think that would be a problem if he has something to work from

Probably the last option – but it’s there as a long stop

PS no connection other than as a satisfied customer

if all else fails you might try contacting Robert at dataplates4U

https://rdrnl.home.xs4all.nl/dataplates.htm

He should be able to replicate one (or more) if you have a photo and the dimensions.

He made a dataplate for me for my 1943 10cwt GS trailer. It is a perfect reproduction
