re:

A representative of the group building this “trailer mounted cockpit with four crew stations” gave a presentation at an Aviation Heritage Lincolnshire Conference in October 2014, at Hemswell Court.

At that time it was being constructed at Humberstone near Grimsby and they indicated that the cockpit would be used for education purposes and might be available for hire.

With two cockpits at Scampton, will this one stay at Waddington where nobody will see her? What happened to the one that used to be in the Hangar at the airshow?

As quoted by the BBC in the linked thread:

The big reveal will be at RAF Waddington on ANZAC Day, April 25 this year, from where S-Sugar flew with 467 Squadron Royal Australian Air Force from November 1943 to June 1945, having previously been based at Scampton.

Interesting story in the link from the first post. But…

When is the “big reveal” if it is at Waddington why is it stated to be in “a hangar at Binbrook” Confused ??? Is anybody directly involved in the project prepared to speak up ?

That’s brilliant work but i wish him all the best for this battle , “After being diagnosed with Leukaemia, Mr Willoughby, 50, from Laceby, has called in help from the public to help him finish his plane, which lives in a hanger at the former RAF Binbrook.”
