Rather than getting lost in my Meteor WS788 thread, I thought I would post separately these shots I took yesterday of some of the aircraft not usually seen outside the hangar enjoying the Spring sunshine. There was a bit of a reshuffle going on, and the Hali was being put back away after the nightshoot on Friday. Enjoy!

The Mossie coming out to sunbathe

Even the other Meteor on site, the former Finningley gate guard F.8, got some sun as the doors at the other end of the hangar were opened

Tony Agar’s Mossie is a credit to him

Poor little thing. Bring her out into the sunshine and encourage her by telling her that big isn’t always beautiful!

She’s still hiding in the hangar.

Well I’ve squinted at the photographs, repeatedly, but I can’t see the Pou de Ciel!

Lovely museum, only wish that hangar wasn’t so crowded, but it understandably is. When I visited last november it still is a magic place though, with the Halifax obviously my focal point of interest.
Would be nice if they let the Hasting wings go to Canada instead of letting it rot away on a Queen Mary outside. Come on chaps!

Thanks for the pics 🙂
The Mosquito looks much more complete than it has for a while, is this a sign that she may run soon?

Great to see these outside, I wish there were more days when the Halifax and Mossie came outside.
