Yes it is the same man. He was a member of the London Gliding Club. He wrote the book ‘The Wooden Sword’, He also made the model and the film of the flight in to Pegasus Bridge. Later made the film ‘All the Kings Horsas.

Wow. Is that the same Lawrence Wright who went on to do so much for the Glider Pilot Regiment in formulating techniques and training methods?

I wonder if that first car drawn towing the glider out was the same 3 litre Bentley ‘winch’ impressed by the AFEE and used to tow the Hafner Rotabuggy?

Thanks for posting this. It must have been a long job to draw all those animations.
I see the Abbot Baynes Scud, a long time Dunstable resident and now at Old Warden crept in around the 2 mins 54secs mark.
