I bought a second-hand copy, in excellent condition, via Amazon got $10.
I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but at that price, it’s a good value.

Can anyone provide an update on a.c. movements since it was published?
From reading FlyPast, I believe a couple of the Canadian ac have been moved indoors.

I purchased a copy of Lancaster survivors just before Christmas and was terribly disappointed with it. Nothing in it that can’t be sourced very easily on the www and in better detail :apologetic:

Not to mention the boo’s and the recent volume on the Hurricane. I really like these kind of books too.

Thanks for the notice, I wasn’t aware that a book on the subject was available.
I do enjoy books on “survivors”. The trick seems to be in telling the story of each airframe without it becoming a mind-numbing assembly of dates, registrations and owners. Also, it as should be available at a reasonable price.

To that end, I can recommend Scott Thompson’s excellent Final Cut book on B-17s (now in its 4th edition) and the old but enjoyable Mosquito Survivors by Howe.

Good idea,
When I got the book a few years ago I thought it was relatively good, but not complete (cockpits and projects not covered) and overpriced. As are most books by this publisher.
