Tandem Spitfire query

Spitfire Mk 9 MJ772 was built at Castle Bromwich in 1942 and flew with Number 341 (French) Squadron. After the war it was converted to two-seat T.9 configuration for the Irish Air Corps. It was civilianised as G-AVAV and exhibited in American museums before being restored to flight in 2012. It has now joined Biggin Hill based Into The Blue, which sells Spitfire rides. The company also owns another T.9, MJ627/G-ASOZ/G-BMSB, which was credited with a Messerschmitt Bf109 ‘kill’, before conversion for the IAC and eventual restoration. So far so good, but the original hand-written Civil Aviation Authority registration documents have G-AVAV transferring from MJ627, while G-ASOZ had the construction number CBAF1722, not the current 7722. Could these identical twins have been mixed up at birth?
