Came across a few prints taken back circa late 80’s by my late Father-in-law and might be of interest? Unusually some of the hangared inmates are out in the open. Not so sure if this was a regular occurrence or that they were pulled out maybe for a reshuffle within the hangars but I stand corrected?!
Of note possibly is the prototype Hunter WB188 which I believe is currently on loan at the Tangmere Museum?

The Sea Balliol is back on display or it was last week when I visited. Personally I think it should be at Yeovilton as I can’t see its relevance other than BP was a midlands based company.

There was a Sea Balliol at St Athan in 1958 when I was a B/e .It was used for marshalling practice ,also a hunter was used and as the instructor said the faster you flap your arms the faster the a/c will come to youhe was right!!

This was due to the re-cladding of the bottom two hangars. and it really was a treat to see the airframes outside, but the real plus was those hangars were a lot warmer afterwards, I discarded my fingerless mitts after that!
