Hi Guys,
The Harvard service ceiling of 24,200 will raise an eyebrow I’m sure!
Is it possible in a stock Harvard? …. Please no guessing!
Well its in the manual and I guess someone must have flown it… Ok So lets forget about the oxygen “Forget about the O2” as I’m all over that like a cheap suit…. Im more interested in the engine performance and limitations… I know already that it takes about 30 minutes “ish” to 10,000 feet and as a rough guess another 50 minutes from 10,000 – 20,000 feet… There is obviously limitations regarding shock cooling so there will be a power and rpm setting for the descent and a number for the descent in fpm…
Question: What I really want to know is has anyone either done it or has anyone got any information on the engine management etc for a high altitude Harvard flight?
Any info would be greatly received…
