Happy New Year All,
We’re looking for a jet fighter for a film shoot:
– Not required to run.
– The more modern looking the better.
– The nearer to London the better.
– We would prefer it not to be in camo.
– An airfield location preferred.
It would be a one day shoot later this month, funds available. No action or anything destructive, it’s more a background thing!
What’s out there?
Thanks,
Taifun

Is the TIARA F.2 at Church Fenton dismantled or has it been reassembled?
I believe it is currently for sale as well.
I can actually remember it at Coningsby with 229 OCU

….It might be a decent gesture for Taifun to step in and acknowledge the helpful replies offered up thus far…… ??
So sorry Detective, you’re quite right, I’ve been on my travels! Thank you to all who’ve offered their kind advice. Much appreciated.
As an update it looks like geographic convenience has trumped the desire for “something modern” and they might be heading to the T5 at Cranfield. I’ve certainly put the two in touch. Hopefully they’ll pop some meaningful funds in the kitty to keep her running..
Thanks again everyone..
Taifun.

BCWM at Bentwaters have a Phantom that is complete, on an airfield location and the facilities to move it. 🙂
Depending on the Trustees of course.

Sadly NAM would struggle to fulfil the following aspect of the OP “An airfield location preferred”
This was also something that they found an issue with for, Top Gear’s Saab Viggen request a couple of years back and more recently the requirements in the Stargazing Live approach.

not southern but Newark Air Museum were very helpful for our student film back in 1999… we used the super sabre, Wessex, Beverly cockpit and “that big awesome plane” as our director called the Vulcan 🙂

– The more modern looking the better.
The Lightning T5 at Cranfield might fit your criteria too.
How?

Could try Trainsair at Shoreham with its gloss black Jaguar www.transair.co.uk/pu+Shoreham-Shop+ , though I don’t know if they’d be interested.
