As I have mentioned before, there are said to be plenty of such wrecks in the shallower parts of the northern Med., but they don’t seem to attract the attention of aviation people. Perhaps the problem is that they are not Spitfires.

First thought was Wildcat, but having studied it closer I’m now thinking Reggiane Re.2000.
