01/10/15 – have just seen on the BBC 1 pm news that Tracy Curtis-Taylor has set off from Farnborough in her Stearman to re-trace the flight of Amy Johnson from England to Australia in 1930.
I did enjoy the documentary following her flight from S.Africa to England and presume there will be a similar one of this flight to look forward to.
God speed to the lady.
Roger Smith.

Thanks for the heads up…Tracy has much better skills than Amy did and she should be ok.

Only needed a new prop, the chopper didn’t fare so well.

It’s sure to be an amazing series of flights! I hope the weather plays ball.
Does anyone know if this trip in the same machine she taxied into a Robinson helicopter with earlier in the year, or a new one?

Several passes and lots of publicity for her at the Herne Bay Airshow in August.
