An urgent request for providing cockpit owners contact details has just been received at Newark Air Museum.
After a brief set of email communications it was agreed to post details here.
“I am from a creative agency in London looking to find a cockpit on wheels for an event we are holding at the Round House – this request is rather urgent as it’s for tomorrow, Friday and Saturday.”
“……recommended Newark Air Museum as the best port of call. This is rather last minute but I know you have a cockpit festival every year, and I was wondering if you may know of someone who has a cockpit on wheels for me to hire.”
“Ideally we are looking for something old looking and preferably on the smaller side but right now I am taking anything as an option.”
The contact has indicated that they do have a budget to cover any costs.
Rather than me acting as a point of contact the agency has said it is OK to post details – I hope this is OK with the Mods!?!

No problem Rob, just trying to assist both the agency & Cockpiteers – they did mention the possibility of a significant sum!
I believe that at least one contact has been established as a result of the email; so I hope that someone might have benefitted. 😉

Thanks for the offer Howard but my rig isn’t up to a displayable standard yet.
Hope they can find something though

There is a poster in the next office over from where I work.
“Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on our part”.
I wish them every luck in finding a cockpit on wheels.

A quick bump just in case anyone missed this – emails also just sent out! 🙂
