When you look at the price of most of the cars in the auction these are all a bargain! If somebody can arrange a lottery win on Friday I will buy the lot. I would be surprised to see the Vampire get very high with the ‘bad press’ for classic jets.

when at auction you factor in your hammer bid, If they are over zealous with the estimate the bidding will reflect that, I thought chippy price was fair.
Did not notice the premiums, lets say 20% + Vodka and tonic so on 30 k its £6600 if my math correct total of £36600.00 at bottom end of estimate, Reserve around 28k maybe with auctioneers discretion may pick it up in early 30s

Yes I realise that, but still pushes the price up Trolly Aux.

Well the buyer’s premium and VAT will push the price up substantially, that could put a lot off if they are to stay in this country.

I see they used some of my air-to-airs in the catalogue, including one of the Proctor – a different view to the one used in the Mail. It is a superb aircraft, I do hope it finds a good home after all the care lavished on it throughout its restoration.

A Chipmunk might be less expensive in North America….

Think its sad to see these on here. (Especially as not got money to buy them and double to Insure them). Let’s hope they go to a new and careful owner and thank AA for going as long as they have
