hi, morning,
now I’ve got your attention they were PP972 and ML407 and they did look good, but my main topic is how good the replica LV-X430 Avro 504 looked, also G-CIPJ a DH.83 Fox Moth allowed to use ZK-AGM marks but how splendid it looked. I had a look in the compartment windows and not thinking before about it but the 2 double seats face each other, and the rear facing front seat backs onto the firewall so I don’t know how comfortable it is, but I’d love to find out.
Also the sad remains of Percival Vega Gull c/n K98, VH-ACA,VH-BQA, and A32-2 but hopefully to be re-built, a Miles M.3A Falcon Major G-AEEG and at least 10 DH.83A Tiger Moths plus a few other V&V types…
regards,
jack…

Any more photos of the interesting civil stuff or the remains of the Gull?

Sorry to be a pedant, but unless I’m mistaken the Venture WAS a military aircraft (ie a military Falke?) and therefore military markings originally would be normal….
According to g-info it was built in 1980 and del. to the RAF until 9/91, then transferred to RAF Gliding and Soaring assoc. as G-BTWC in red/white colour scheme but a all red fin. In 9/14 it went to a private owner and in 7/15 it was given a Display of Registration Mark Exemption and displayed ZA656 with a proper RAF coloured fin.

It escaped then? Good to see.
It did indeed and there is a celebration fly-in at Lee on the Solent this very weekend.

nice to see the Jodel behind un-obstructed by the concrete tank trap…

Not a Spitfire but its not often you see a Venture in Military colours.
hi,
a definite better look than a civil G-BTWC, and nice to see the Jodel behind un-obstructed by the concrete tank trap…

I went up in a Fox Moth from West Malling years ago (it had to be!).
My abiding memory is that it seemed to use up most of Kent to take off!
