Just spotted a Spitfire heading south at approx 3000ft over Biddulph, Stoke on Trent at 1820hrs.What puzzled me was how quiet it was compared to TE311 which passed over here on Sunday, on route to Rhyl. I had the binos on it but couldn’t see markings due to light conditions. No movements at this time for a BBMF aircraft, and definately not one of them Mk26 replicas. Any ideas?

Throttled back in the cruise, they are pretty quiet, especially with the Siamese exhaust stubs fitted.
