Firstly a thought to all who took part in the battles on this day, remembering all who were affected and the crews that worked tirelessly refueling and rearming the fighters in our defence, its nice to pick a day other than the 15th of September.
I remember looking in Battle Over Britain by Francis K Mason of the lists of aircraft on both side lost on this day, I think it has been rounded down a little since that book, does anyone know how many aircraft and crews were lost or just shot down crews safe?
Good luck to the crews today patrolling over the south coast,
don’t fly straight and level for more than 30 seconds in the combat zone,
beware of the hun in the sun

Do any (bits) of the low level Dorniers survive?
I’m sure there’s a piece (a fin?) of one of the 9th Staffel Do17’s on display at RAFM Hendon…….?

Are there any aircraft parts, in museums, of the aircraft shot down on this day?
Do any (bits) of the low level Dorniers survive?
Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum have parts of the rear fuselage of ex 257 Sqdn Hurricane P3708 on display – a work in progress (http://www.waltonnaze.demon.co.uk/print/restoration.html).

Biggin should be ok and the south coast, Gravesend and Dover may be inclement,
I am sure the Big Wing will be airborne on time
