A few pics from a fairly recent visit to the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection which is housed in some lovely old hangars on Old Sarum airfield. They’ve got a nice assortment of jet cockpits on display for kids of all ages to sit in and quite a few complete airframes as well. Lots of tlc being given to Jaguar XX734 and Jet Provost XR650.

I took my youngest a few weeks ago, he really enjoyed sitting in all those cockpits.
Sadly, the aviation interest seems to have skipped his 2 older brothers…
Certainly looks like your young un was having a really good time 🙂
And 1 out of 3 ain’t bad – you can pass exams with that percentage nowadays!
Do you have any photos of the Comet fuselage from Lyneham?
Glad to know that it will be open to the public. Just to add to Carpetbaggers shot, here’s the other side –

Not open to the public yet but they did say the A frame was nearly finished and they just had the mounts to create to finish it off.
