It wouldn’t surprise me if these 737s are just wet leases. Otherwise flybe will have another aircraft type to operate which is obviously uneconomical especially considering the small number to be added to the fleet. Not to mention the retraining of cabin and flight crews.

However, if they are to be operated by flybe I bet the 146 crews will be fighting to get on them!

I actually think they might well be planning on operating them with Flybe cabin crew at least. They’re doing a massive Cabin Crew recruitment drive at the moment for BHX. Can’t get enough crew I’m told, and it can’t be for the 146’s or the Dash fleet cos very often they only operate with 2 crew members. Maybe they’ll have flight deck contracted in from somewhere else? Who knows!
