I have a first edition copy of “TSR2, Phoenix or Folly” by Frank Barratt-Jones which I picked up during a Duxford display weekend sometime after 1994. It was signed on the day by Jimmy Dell, Brian McCann, Len Dean, Daphne Moneypenny (on behalf of Peter Moneypenny) and the author but can anybody provide the date when all the parties above attended Duxford? I’d guess 1995, but I’m purely basing that on the 1994 publication date…
Cheers
Pete

I went to a book signing at our local community hall and spoke to an author about his thriller novel. The Silver Angel. He said that he based his fictional 1960s warplane on the TSR2, using Frank’s book as his main reference source and when you read the novel, you can see that there is material of which he has based factual details about the plane to create his fictional account of the ‘Rapier’ (the aircraft in the story).
The Silver Angel is available as an e-book on Amazon or as a self published printed copy which I bought. (it has a better cover and features a 3 view drawing of the plane (a hybrid of a TSR2 and a BAC 221 test aircraft I think). I have also checked out his website: www.alexswanmysteries.uk

I was there on the day and have a signed copy of the book. Frank has dated it Oct. ’94. Hope this helps
