Does anyone know the serial of the Spitfire Lawrence flew with 234 Squadron (Code AZ-R) ?

Hi Dave
I have 234 squadrons ORB.
Is there a particular date that you have in mind?
Keith Lawrence flew several different spitfires with 234 Squadron during the Battle of Britain.
In September ’40 he mostly flew R6959 but I don’t know if that was ‘AZ-R’.

Thanks for that. The request came via letter to the office from a long term prison inmate, so I have no idea what specific date. I think your information will be sufficient for his purposes however.

It has serials mapped to pilots from what I can see
