Help to Identify this aircraft & if possible its Squadron

If anyone can help me identify this aircraft I would be grateful, The serial is E-9925 and I think its a Bristol Fighter but the engine is not the same type as is fitted to an F-2B, it looks like the type fitted to an SE.5 so I assume its some sort of modified version, I,m also not sure what the “X” signifies. I,ve tried to Google the serial but don’t get very far

Thanks in advance

DH.9A 60 Sqn. When it was with 60 Sqn it was coded X and when with 27 Sqn it carried the letter E. So I think this photo was taken in early 1925. Probably at Lahore.

This aircraft served with 27 and 60 squadrons in the 1920’s, both were based in India.

According to serial listings, it is apparently an Airco DH.9A

I know nothing more.
