Airbus are investing a lot in this boom in India. Which can only mean they are more open to a lot of risk.
One hopes this boom does not die in India, or airbus will find themselves with literally hundreds of A320s coming out of their plant with no owner. Or Worse yet, flooding the second hand market and lowering the A320 value considerably.
I think thats one reason you are not seeing the 737 flood this boom market. Boeing seem unwilling to play with the risk.
All that being said, if it all pays off, Airbus will be a very strong player for many years to come in Indian aviation.
Why do you think Boeing is so unwilling to take these risks and Airbus seems so ready to take them? Would it be that Airbus has more to loose or is it that Boeing is confident with it’s current approach for this region?
