After the great effort to get this Spitfire airworthy before the closure of Filton aerodrome, it all appears to have gone quiet. G-INFO suggests that it doesn’t have a permit to fly. Does anybody know whether it flies very much?

Martin Phillips is booked to give a talk on his restoration of Spitfire RR232 at Countess Wear Village Hall, School Lane, Exeter, EX2 6LF, at 7.00pm on Friday 20th November next. Tickets cost £6 in advance including complimentary glass of wine and nibbles. Apply by post to Events, c/o 62 Exe Vale Road, Exeter. EX2 6LF. Enclose a SAE. The flyer says he is also working on the restoration of two-seater Spitfire BS410.
It should be a good evening if anyone can make it.

Good question ozplane, I am interested to hear how it’s going with it and also will it be flown by Martin Phillips? Considering that he has put so much into it to get it airworthy I hope that he will fly her.
Sopwith, I think it highly unlikely that Martin will fly her, I think he is only at the PPL stage. I believe he has a designated pilot.

I do like that “bare bones” scheme, for some reason.
