As part of the Newark Air Museum ‘Tribute To Our Training Aircraft’ weekend there was an opportunity to view a variety of cockpits and interiors of the museum’s collection including aircraft not usually open for public viewing so with a bag full of 10p coins, there was a minimum donation of 50p for access, I headed back up to Lincolnshire. Although the Hastings/Shackleton/Vulcan/Varsity are generally open on most weekends, I have just concentrated on cockpits that are not generally on view. Many thanks to the staff and volunteers, where nothing was to much for them, and to my chauffeur for the lift back to the station.

Sorry that I wasn’t around on Saturday but it sounds as though you had a good visit – your photographs make my meagre efforts look very tame by comparison. 😮
