The one that got away..another picture..

I have just received Britain at War Mar 15, with von Hiers and his Messerschmitt…
Mods, sorry about the size but they are big !!
The back of the photo is interesting ..its not an F…. clearly and did Allison plugs fit it…..

I would suggest possibly not. The DB 601 and 605 had 14mm plugs, but the Americans standardised on 18mm.
That said, I have never worked on a V-1710, so I can’t be sure.

Spark-plugs were internationally standardised long before World War Two…

…Spitfires had plugs with 14mm (or maybe 12mm?) threads!
