“Sierra Sue II” Restoration Video
Here’s another Mustang restoration video (2hrs in length), in which this one covers the restoration of the combat-vet “Sierra Sue II”, which was completed late last year. It is the most accurate/authentically restored P-51 flying today (and not a data-plate rebuild either). It is finished in the same markings it wore in the last weeks of WWII. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BzGDUNgmL0
Here are some recent photos of the aircraft from Aircorps Aviation (note the P-38 mirror, as fitted to the aircraft in the field during the war, and the N-9 gun sight, which this variant of the D-model came with from the factory)
