Hi, I am looking to purchase 2 x 20 Knot ASI instruments for a Chippie cockpit I am putting together for the museum. I am after the later type which were smaller in diameter than the earlier ones.
Any help and leeds appreciated.

They have another graduation which takes it to 210 -there are two types from memory -both of which are the same size in diameter.

20 on instrument face = max 200 knots

As an indicated airspeed on a good day, good aeroplane and competent pilot it is achievable in a long wing Auster (and height is also maintained). I often demonstrate to students and on a high pressure lowish temp day have achieved 2,00 ft, 2,000 rpm and 18 knots indicated just nibbling at the edge of the stall. on my best attempt.

20 kts? That’s slow – even for a Chipmunk!

Hi Dan
Should’ve mentioned before that Bruce (Moderator) might be a good source for instruments
