Hi can anyone possibly help to identify this relic. part of the panel is a gyro gunsite dimmer selector and cockpit call light. but would anyone no what aircraft this may of come from and what the dimmer selector would of been for ie type of Gunsite.
Ive been told possibly Mosquito or Beufighter.
Any help as always would be very much apprecated as pretty much stuck on this one..

Hi
I feel I’ve eventually identified the panel relic that i feel is part of an Avro Lincoln mid upper gun turret (as suggested earlier by Vacb well done). As whilst visiting Hendon museum I came across the B17 turret. Looking inside the panel was plain to see. Does anyone know other variants of aircraft that this type of turret was fitted to? Also the lever on the right hand side of the panel what was this used for?
Thank you in advance for any replys..
Oh sorry for giving anyone neck ache as ive sent this from my phone and cant work the dam thing out, and the kids are out so know help there..

No, I’m not interested in buying, just wondering if you sell relics on ebay. The red background looks very familiar.
Hi Whitley
I do sell the odd item here and there, i think you may be thinking of the seller ( The_Somme1918) as he uses a red back ground and frequently posts relics starting at a £5.00 starting price…
Hope this helps..

Thank you for the input so far, to answer a few questions.
I had puchased this panel at Brenzett.(Vacb) interesting that may be from a Turret, good point reference Mosquito.
(Bruce) I was also thinking along the lines of a possible bomber. as majority of fighters if not all had a different set up for the Gyro Dimmer selector.
Hi Whitley i wasnt looking to sell the unit as quite facinated by it, as never seen one like it before.
Ref Stirling (Peter) i will try and look down this avenue..
So at least i can cross of the Mosquito..
Again thank you for your above replys.

That red background looks familiar. Are you selling on ebay by any chance?

I’d agree with that – its an early selector dimmer, but used up to the Mk 4 sight. Call light makes it a bomber of some description.

Hi
I saw this down at Brenzett and thought that it may have been a turret fitment, Lancaster or Lincoln maybe? I suspect that it would have been a GGS Mk2c or 2d. A call light wouldn’t seem appropriate in the Mosquito, seeing as the Navigator sits next to and behind the pilot, but I suppose it ‘could’ be Beaufighter. Cheers.
