A new updated edition of my “Christchurch Aerodrome 1926-1970” is now available as a FREE download as a PDF file from my Hampshire Airfields website.
The book is in two parts (56 & 26mb). The new edition has some corrections , much new information and has been rearranged with all civil resident and visiting aircraft photos now in the second volume. There are in all 330 pages of information and photographs.
You can download freely from my website “Hampshire Airfields”…. go to the links at the top of the Index page and right click to either open the PDF in your browser – or “save as” to download.

Please notify me of any criticisms ,corrections or additions.
I am still looking for photographs of the three blister hangars that stood along the western edge of Mudeford Wood and the Bessoneau hangar that stood near the Bellman hangar .
Other “missing” items…..
A photo of the 13-11-50 heavy landing damage to G-ALFR Ambassador.
Anything at all regarding the NATO display on 23-09-1958. Someone must have photographed this event?
Information on the disposal of the various Ambassador and Vampire parts that were dumped for a long time between the Flying Club and DH’s flight shed.
A photo of the pillbox that stood in Mudeford Lane at the western end of the grass E/W runway (this is sentimental – the top of that is where I first started looking at aircraft).
Anything other information – no matter how small…and any pictures that are not already in the book.
