Canberra down off the Gibralta runway (Historical query)

Hi all. Just been reading the thread about the Canberra which ran out of runway at Wyton which prompted me to ask if anyone knows the truth behind a story which I was told many years ago.
The story I heard was that there was a Canberra in the sea off the end of the runway at GIb after it suffered a double flame out on takeoff. I have never seen or heard any other reference to this so I wondered if anyone on here might be able to either shed more light on or refute the story.
Cheers all.
Mike

My apologies for the poor wording of the title. If any of the mods care to change it to a more suitable wording then I am quite happy for them to. I don’t think WJ625 fits the criteria as from the story I was told it was a single aircraft take off and it went into the sea within a few hundred yards of the runway end. Mind you if the teller only has part of the story and uses guesstimation to fill in the rest who can say what inaccuracies crept in? Actually looking at the information for the WJ625 incident it becomes apparent that it has to be the aircraft I was referring to as it is the only Canberra loss directly relating to Gibralta. The way the story came across was that it had occurred a good few years earlier than that, maybe sometime in the late 50s/early 60s but no Camberra losses in that period would fit with the story of how it was lost. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction folks and my apologies again for inapropriate wording of the title.

Yes it does give a lump in the throat when you see the title…..

From memory a 360 Sqn T.17 (WJ625) could be the Canberra to which you refer?

I wish you would rename this, as I know someone involved in a current flier I was immediately worried. I was nearly in a crash there myself which does not help.
