Quite an interesting picture at the top of this article, was this kind of thing done regularly? I don’t think I’ve seen anything too similar before.

The Fokker factory, during the wartime years located in the northern part of Amsterdam was also camouflaged in a similar manner.

Yes – hangars /buildings were ‘camouflaged’ in many different ways – I posted this Hawker/Langley photo some years ago because it has an ‘interesting’ background !
I rescued the pic when Dunsfold was closed down purely because it was a nice shot of a Tiffie but later realised that the background buildings were interesting.
