3D printer not that outrageous, The Vintage Aviator makes use of them for some activities (not the actual end component, obviously!).

What is the largest item that can be 3D printed ?

Thank you Bob, but off topic posts about off topic posting are still off topic (if you see what I mean) and only compound the felony. 😀

Back on topic please and save the Burma humour for the post report publication discussion in the relevant thread

It seems like such a fertile source of humour.

To you maybe – but bear in mind this sticky notice, in case you haven’t seen it, about the elephant in the forum and possible sanctions…

Fair enough, but I’m sure to many others it’s bloody boring now. Let’s talk about reality, not the what-ifs, eh?v

The Google translation uses the word ‘molded’ which is probably “English (US)” [sic] for moulded, so I would assume it is some kind of plastic.

Moggy

Unless someone has a ginormous 3D printer ? 🙂

It seems like such a fertile source of humour.

Edit for clarity: I was late to the Burma party, and I only joined this forum late last year. I read about buried Spitfires as a kid. I was surprised that this story was still on the go and that people had such strongly opposing views on the matter. ‘Tis all!

Rather than ‘moldering’, like the ones in Myanmar.

Can we stop pissing and moaning about bloody Burma in a Spitfire-related thread??
