Hunter cockpit weight

Hi all can anyone tell ne how heavy a single seat Hunter nose is with all equipment fitted but no guns.

Actually I don’t think I ever came to any definite conclusion. The trouble is it varies enormously, for a restoration project, depending on how much equipment, wiring etc. is fitted. For my own project I decided on about half a ton I think. That was based on a fully kitted cockpit and seat with stripped out gun pack fitted and nothing in the radio bay or nose. That’s pretty rough and ready though!

Pretty sure MarkG of this parish has the weights – may be in the Vol1 somewhere but will depend on Mk somewhat.

Yes, 500 lbs does seem a little light for the cockpit. I’d add in a couple of hundred pounds for gear plus the (equipped) seat will weight around 100lbs too.

Also, add on 300 lbs for the gun pack, if it is fitted.

No, I can’t but here are the weights from the parts schedule, of course they may not include all the equipment!
