Dave was the pilot of the plane behind 43-9699, and took up that position in formation when Bill Cramsie had to drop out on mission 10.
9699 is the A20 Havoc I believe is on Buxey Sand.

I have had some good meetings at the Base, I believe that one day I will be able to open the RAF Wethersfield Museum to the public, and with the help of Finchingfield Guildhall and Braintree Museum who are holding events in 2015 i will have good displays and exhibits to present.

Finchingfield are holding a VE Day event over the Bank Holiday Weekend in May, Costumes , Street Party and exhibitions are planned. watch the Guildhall website for details and please contact them if you can help with artefacts or taking part.

Braintree are running a summer exhibition of the local area in WW2 from July to September again watch their website for information.

I give 2 different 1 hour Presentation / Talks to local History Societies and interested Groups, ( I was a Police Trainer for 7 years )
Talk one is the History of RAF Wethersfield, cover pre WW2, WW2, 20th TFW, 819th.
Talk two is the life of Bill Cramsie and the search for 9699.
