Help please Ju88 bracket/Buckle?

Hi just looking on ebay and came across this bracket that is from a Heinkel 111 this appears to be the same as the one that i had put on a previous thread looking for its i.d. mine had actually came of a 100 percent JU88 relic board that i have.

Can anyone tell me if Heinkel and Ju88 had some compatible parts? also can anyone i.d where this fixing would go on the Aircraft.

Many thanks again for any help given.

If it is helpful, then I would say it most unlikely that it could have been excavated from that crash site.

I was involved in an excavation there on 27 August 1979 and nothing this substantial was in evidence. Not by a long way! I cannot say, though, whether its origins were as a souvenir collected from the site in 1940 but the wording with this item does not suggest that.

Hope this helps.

Is it from that famous collection in London, I would take the provenance with a pinch of salt, don’t think there was a lot left of that 111, I spent many hours in the 1990’s looking and probably got a crisp bag full!

It did make me wonder.. as i know this bracket is from a Ju88 crash.. not sure whether the Heinkel would of had the same type of retaining brackets.

Thanks for all the above for confirming this relic it now has its identity. amongst the relic board. well done as always..

I’m still thinking along the lines of a possible type of seat harness…
